Ice Therapy For Breast Cancer

Womens Health Problems - A new study reveals, there is a new method to destroy breast cancer by surrounding them with ice. This method is believed to offer new options to treat breast cancer without surgery and chemotherapy. The ice therapy technique, known by the name 'cryotherapy' is already used to treat prostate cancer. You do this by entering a few needles that contain super-cooled gas into the tumor. The result, breast cancer cells can be destroyed by using super-cold gas.

Coagulation therapy of cancer cells before it has been tested to cure breast cancer. But now the technique has been developed and this technique is a minimally invasive first version, which does not require surgery. Based on data from page Dailymail.co.uk stated that each year more than 45,000 British women diagnosed with breast cancer and approximately 12,000 deaths occur from this disease.

On average those with breast cancer admitted, very afraid when faced with surgery to remove cancer cells. In addition, surgery for malignant cancerous tissue cut is also known to have a profound psychological impact on patients. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy also have serious drawbacks in the form of complications and side effects. Some women with breast cancer had refused to undergo surgery, because the consequences are considered risky. That is why other alternatives were created as a freezing therapy of cancer cells and also as a new treatment.

In a recent study, 13 women with breast cancer who received cancer therapy can be free of the cancer cells until five years later. Doctors see it there are signs of the disease may recur, but they noted no significant complications. Lead researcher dr. Peter Littrup, from the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit, USA, says that although the 'minimally-invasive cryotherapy' could serve as a potential new treatment for breast cancer, but it needs to be examined further

Dr. Caitlin Palframan, of Breakthrough Breast Cancer added, cryotherapy is the experimental ice therapy technique that is being viewed as a potential alternative to overcome breast cancer.(Womens Health Problems)
